The CCGS Conception Bay is a search and rescue vessel delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard in 2019. Its mission is to tow and rescue vessels in distress and bring shipwrecked crews back to shore. It is very powerful and was designed to handle even the roughest seas.
Setting sail for Saint John’s, Newfoundland
Named after its first destination, the CCGS Conception Bay was delivered to Saint John’s in 2019. The third of ten vessels ordered by the Canadian Coast Guard, it followed the construction of the CCGS Pachena Bay and preceded the CCGS Cadboro Bay.
