The CCGS Hare Bay is a search and rescue vessel delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard in 2021. Its mission is to tow and rescue vessels in distress and bring shipwrecked crews back to shore. It is very powerful and was designed to handle even the roughest seas.

Second in Newfoundland

The second-last of six vessels built for the Canadian Coast Guard, the CCGS Hare Bay docked on the island of Newfoundland in 2021. This is the second vessel in this series to be delivered to the Atlantic province, following the Conception Bay in 2019. It follows the CCGS Cadboro Bay (2020) and precedes the CCGS Chignecto Bay (2022).
